Kannada superstar Upendra's next film Symbol is a trilingual to be made in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. Symbol's pooja was performed at Mahalakshmi temple in Seshadripuram, Bangalore.

The movie will be completed in 100 days in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Europe and would be ready for release soon after. Ordinary Kannada films complete shooting in less than 30 days which itself shows the quality director Upendra brings into Kannada. Also the film is a challenge as it has to compete with Tamil and Telugu.

Kannada movies and Malayalam movies are behind in south Indian industry as Telugu and Tamil films have higher base of audience mainly due to the filming quality and the talent they bring to screen.

Film Symbol will be an action packed thriller starring Upendra in the role of a rich man. The film is directed by Upendra after a gap of 10 years Johny Lal is the cameraman and V. Manohar composes music.

After showing her presence in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam audiences Nayanthara with her supple image is to make mark in Sandalwood. This will be her first Kannada film. At present she is busy with Boss Engira Baskaran in Tamil and Simha in Telugu. Apart from Nayantara, another top actress is to play a very significant role in the movie. The film also introduces 20 new faces.

Upendra has many hits like Om, A, H2O. The flick is produced by Rockline Venkatesh under the banner of Rockline.
